Introduction The Communications and Engagement Division, part of Manitoba Finance, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Production Specialist.

Duties:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Engagement, the Production Specialist is responsible for the procurement and project management of communications-related services for all provincial government departments.

Production

Specialists specialize in working with external vendors while also maintaining strong relationships with internal clients and other team members.

The Production

Specialist conducts their work in accordance with government’s procurement standards, and is directly involved in project coordination, the production of hard deliverables and the administration of blanket order contracts and standing offer agreements.

Qualifications:

Essential

- Post-secondary education in marketing or advertising and/or direct experience in production procurement in a marketing and communications environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.




- Ability to assess procurement and production requirements against budgets, to write specifications and tender calls, evaluate tenders, issue contracts, develop project schedules and monitor performance.
- Experience handling vendors and/or clients in a procurement or production related role.
- Experience in a range of procurement activity, including: tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation and contract award.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize work in order to meet competing deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software applications.
- Solid interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and courteously with internal and external contacts and stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high level of initiative.
