Reporting to the Production Superintendent, the Production Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and cost-effective management of the production line to ensure high-quality finished products while maintaining safety and quality standards

Accountabilities:

- Minimize production costs by utilizing employees, materials and equipment in the safest, most effective and efficient manner.

- Responsible for developing direct reports through coaching, effective communication and performance management
- Ownership and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Minimize accidents through organized safety program consisting of safety inspections/follow up, crew briefings, training. Review accidents and ensure corrective actions are put in place.
- Operate within the quality management program (QMP)



and HACCP as well as Good Manufacturing Practices. (GMP)
- Responsible for training new and existing employees in a changing work environment.
- Ensure accuracy and timely reporting of hourly payroll for employees and work order process in JDE system.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

- Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in a supervisory role in a unionized workplace.

- Effective communication skills
- Effective coaching skills (leadership, communication, coordination, support).

- Very good understanding of processing equipment.
- Good computer skills.
- A team leader and trainer.
- Ability to work cross functionally with others to solve problems in a team environment.

- Promote and show commitment to High Liner’s vision, values and guiding principles.
- Ability to work both day and evening shifts on a rotation in the future.
