Myrnam Play Development is a child care program for children 0 months and up. Our programs will be licensed and follow best practices with a "learning through play" philosophy using the "Flight" curriculum*.* We are an equal opportunity employer that promotes diversity amount our employees.

Myrnam Play Development is a division of the non profit, charitable society Vermilion Play Development.

We are looking for:

Program Director - must have a level 3 or willing to get one in a reasonable time frame

Early Child Educator - must have their Child Care Certification or willing to get one within 3 months of start date

Availability

Hours needed are between 700am and 530pm Monday to Friday. We are closed holidays .

Qualifications

Applicants must love working children. Team work and valuing an inclusive philosophy when working with children is essential for this position.

Preference will be given to applicants with education, certification and experience in this field. All applicants are required to have a criminal record check including vulnerable sector search and an intervention check before starting. First aid will be required or supplied by employer.

Skills





- Robust understanding of the Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Regulation and Act
- Experience in program management and/or Early Childhood Education
- Strong administrative skills with experience in budgeting, record keeping, and resource management
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse audiences including children, parents, staff, and community partners
- Ability to organize multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of child development principles, FLIGHT and best practices in play-based learning environments
