Project Estimator

Spirit Omega Inc. is seeking a Project Estimator on behalf of our client to support high-voltage transmission projects. The successful candidate will develop cost estimates, perform quantity take-offs, review drawings and specifications, and support project budgeting and execution.

Responsibilities

- Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and detailed cost estimates for transmission and substation projects.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Complete quantity take-offs and determine labour, equipment, and material requirements.
- Identify project risks, assumptions, contingencies, and cost drivers.
- Support budgeting, business cases, and contractor estimate reviews.
- Maintain estimating databases and Basis of Estimate documentation.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Construction,



and Project Management teams.

- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of estimating experience in construction, utilities, transmission, or heavy civil projects.
- High-voltage transmission and substation estimating experience is an asset.
- P.Eng., C.E.T., or equivalent designation is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Required Certification
- CSTS (Construction Safety Training System) certification, or equivalent.
