About High Crest Enterprises
High Crest Enterprises develops and manages complex capital projects with a primary focus on healthcare and long-term care infrastructure. Our work includes the development of new facilities, renovation and redevelopment of existing buildings, and coordination with government and other stakeholders to deliver projects that meet the needs of residents, operators, communities, and funding partners.
As we continue to grow, we intend to expand our development activities and are seeking a project manager with a diverse skill set who can lead projects from early concept and feasibility through planning, approvals, design, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
Scope of Work The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and advancing capital development projects on behalf of High Crest Enterprises. The role requires a combination of project management, development, construction, financial, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
The successful candidate will work closely with company leadership, operators, consultants, contractors, government departments, funding agencies, municipalities, and community stakeholders.
Duties
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or HeavyBid.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve issues promptly.
- Monitor project progress regularly, adjusting schedules and resources as needed to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Utilize tools like ProCore and Bluebeam for document management, progress tracking, and communication across teams.
- Conduct site visits to oversee construction activities, verify safety compliance, and ensure work aligns with design specifications.
- Prepare detailed construction estimates and manage change orders to control costs effectively while maintaining project scope.
Requirements Qualifications & Experience The ideal candidate will bring a combination of development, construction, project management, and stakeholder-management experience. Relevant backgrounds may include construction management, engineering, architecture, real estate development, planning, healthcare infrastructure, housing development, or related fields.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Post-secondary education in engineering, architecture, construction management, planning, business, real estate development, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex capital projects through multiple stages of development.
- Experience with healthcare, long-term care, seniors housing, affordable housing, social housing, institutional, or other complex building projects is considered a solid asset.
- Experience working with provincial or municipal governments, public-sector agencies, funding programs, or regulated development environments is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of design and construction processes, consultant coordination, procurement, contracts, budgets, schedules, and project controls.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, contracts, and other technical project documentation.
- Strong financial and commercial aptitude, including experience managing capital budgets and evaluating project costs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional reports, presentations, briefing materials, and government submissions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, consultants, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Demonstrated judgment, initiative, problem-solving ability,
and attention to detail.
- PMP designation, professional engineering designation, architectural background, or other relevant professional accreditation is considered an asset but is not mandatory.
