Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Property Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, currently requires 40 hours work week, rotation of shift schedule which could include a weekend rotation in the Maintenance Department, plus participation in a seasonal on-call schedule for response to de-icing and snow clearing requirements. This position offers an exciting chance to apply your mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills while leading maintenance initiatives that keep our Strata running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Grounds, Building and Facilities –
· Carry-out planned projects on common property.
· Assist team lead with owners’ applications for changes to property,
· Carry-out general repair and maintenance inspections on roads, streetlights, curbs, sidewalks, landscape, retaining walls, storm drains, cobblestone areas, installation of signs, line painting, gates etc.
· Garbage and recycling removal including RV yard.
· Maintain interior and exterior of common buildings – general repairs, painting, plumbing, window washing, gutter and roof drain cleaning, power washing.
· Maintain and repair swimming pool, hot tub. Cleaning of pool and hot tub; mixing and monitoring chemical levels; daily testing of same.
· Assist annual fire inspection, monthly fire extinguishers and punch tags.
· Identify deficiencies and provide recommendations for improvement.
· Assist with maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
· Monitor inventory and order as per request.
· Assist Team lead and coordinate with trades.
Irrigation and landscaping
· Assist with maintenance and repair common property irrigation equipment,
including seasonal start-up and shut-down requirements.
· Coordinate with Landscape contractor with respect to irrigation timing and coverage as it relates to vegetation areas.
· Identification of heads / valves as required for landscape maintenance requirements.
Other Duties
· Assist staff and owners in the preparation of special events.
· Assist with seasonal light displays.
· Perform welding, carpentry, painting, landscaping and other hands-on repair tasks to address diverse property needs.
· Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Requirements
· Level 1 Pool Ticket or willing to take the course.
· Follow work safe practices
· Knowledge of facilities maintenance standards including landscaping and irrigation.
·Mechanical knowledge with experience reading schematics and technical diagrams an asset
· Electrical experience including troubleshooting wiring issues and working with programmable controllers an asset
· Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate effectively with team members and vendors.
· Demonstrated leadership ability with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service orientation.

Pay: $27.00-$34.00 per hour
