Join a Team Specializing in Mental Health Care for First Responders
Wayfound Mental Health Group is a national centre of excellence providing specialized mental health services across Calgary, Edmonton, and the Greater Toronto Area. Our clinicians have expertise in the assessment and treatment of operational stress injuries, trauma, and other mental health concerns affecting first responders, public safety personnel, veterans, military members, and professionals working in trauma-exposed environments.
As our Toronto practice continues to grow, we are hiring Psychologists, Psychological Associates, and clinicians completing supervised practice who are interested in meaningful clinical work and becoming part of a collaborative, highly skilled team.
This prospect is well suited to clinicians who are passionate about trauma treatment, interested in developing greater expertise in first responder mental health, personnel experiencing operational stress, and looking for a practice where professional autonomy is balanced with genuine clinical collaboration.
The Opportunity
Wayfound clinicians work with a diverse population of adults, couples, and families, with a significant portion of our practice focused on first responders and trauma-exposed professionals.
Depending on your areas of competence and experience, your practice may include:
- Individual psychotherapy
- Psychological assessment and diagnosis
- Treatment of PTSD and operational stress injuries
- Support for first responders, public safety personnel, veterans, and military members
- Couples and family therapy
- Consultation with other clinicians and external multidisciplinary providers
- Work within WSIB, disability, and return-to-work contexts
- Participation in clinical consultation and professional development opportunities
We value evidence-informed practice while recognizing that exceptional care requires clinicians who can think critically, build strong therapeutic relationships, and adapt treatment to the individual in front of them.
Who We're Looking For
We welcome applications from
- Psychologists certified for autonomous practice with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario
- Psychological Associates certified for autonomous practice with the CPBAO
- Psychologists or Psychological Associates completing supervised practice. We can provide both primary and secondary supervisors. Supervised practice clinicians have supervision costs added to their percentage split.
Ideal candidates will bring:
- Strong clinical skills in assessment and/or psychotherapy
- Experience or interest in trauma, PTSD, and operational stress injuries
- Training in one or more evidence-based trauma treatment modalities
- Excellent communication and clinical documentation skills
- A dependable, responsive, and collaborative approach to practice
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary clinical team
- Professional Liability insurance and good standing with regulatory bodies.
Experience working with first responders, WSIB, disability insurers, or occupational mental health is an asset, but we also welcome clinicians who are interested in developing expertise in these areas. Why Wayfound?
