Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to support incoming inspection, in-process production quality checks, and final inspection activities.

This is a hands-on position that works closely with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain. The Quality Assurance Technician may also be required to assist with production-line assembly and other manufacturing activities when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured and supplier-provided parts.
- Inspect sheet metal components, CNC-machined parts, and mechanical assemblies against drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, rulers, inspection fixtures, and other measuring equipment.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, material thicknesses, hole locations, formed features, and other critical characteristics.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and basic dimensional requirements.
- Complete inspection sheets, quality checklists, and receiving inspection records accurately.
- Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming parts or assemblies.
- Assist with non-conformance reports and quality investigations.




- Perform production-line quality checks to confirm assemblies meet work instructions and quality requirements.
- Work with Production and Engineering to investigate quality issues and determine appropriate next steps.
- Keep inspection areas clean, organized, and compliant with workplace safety requirements.
- Assist with production assembly, rework, sorting, or packaging when required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with GD&T;, incoming inspection, non-conformance reporting, or ISO 9001 is considered an asset.
- College diploma or certificate in Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field is considered an asset.
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, inspection, quality control, or similar production environment preferred.
- Experience inspecting sheet metal, machined components, or mechanical assemblies is considered a strong asset.
- Comfortable using calipers, gauges, and other dimensional measuring equipment.
- Ability to accurately read measurements in both metric and imperial units.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and tolerances.
- Basic understanding of tolerances and inspection requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify minor defects or dimensional inconsistencies.




- Ability to accurately complete inspection records.
- Basic computer or spreadsheet skills.
- Robust communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate quality concerns clearly with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain personnel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new inspection methods and manufacturing processes.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.

- Ability to safely lift and handle components weighing up to 50 lb (23 kg), with assistance or lifting equipment where appropriate.
- Exposure to normal manufacturing noise levels.
- Required use of safety glasses and steel-toe footwear; gloves and hearing protection may also be required.
- Occasional overtime or schedule adjustments may be required based on production needs.
