Recreation Technician / Powersports Mechanic

Bannister GP Motorsports – Grande Prairie, AB Bannister GP Motorsports is looking for an experienced Recreation Technician / Powersports Mechanic to join our Service team in Grande Prairie.

We are seeking a skilled, hands-on technician with experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of recreational vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working on snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides/UTVs, and other powersports and recreational equipment.

What You’ll Do

As a Recreation Technician, you will be responsible for:

- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and performance concerns on recreational vehicles and equipment
- Performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, and other powersports equipment
- Completing engine, drivetrain, suspension, brake, steering, and electrical repairs
- Performing scheduled maintenance and manufacturer-recommended services
- Installing accessories and performing equipment upgrades or modifications as required
- Using diagnostic equipment and service information to accurately identify and resolve concerns
- Completing repair orders and documenting work performed accurately
- Identifying additional maintenance or repair requirements and communicating findings to the Service team
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Following manufacturer specifications and dealership safety procedures
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard of quality

What We’re Looking For





- Previous professional experience as a Powersports Technician, Motorcycle Technician, Recreation Technician, Small Engine Mechanic, or similar role
- Hands-on experience servicing and repairing snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs and side-by-sides
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
- Experience using diagnostic tools and manufacturer service information
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence
- Relevant technical training, apprenticeship, or certification is considered an asset
