Job Summary

Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our dental practice. Responsibilities

- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring a sterile workplace for each patient
- Assist dentist during various procedures, including restorative, preventative and pediatric treatments
- Take and develop digital dental radiographs (X-rays), utilizing Dentrix and Dexis.
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix to ensure accurate documentation and seamless workflow
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health
- Support front desk operations by acting as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, confirming patient information,



and handling inquiries
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards to protect patients and staff at all times

Qualifications

- Valid registration as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or certification in accordance with provincial regulations
- Proven experience with dental assisting procedures, including taking X-rays and preparing treatment areas
- Familiarity with dental practice software such as Dentrix is an asset, but would train the right candidate.
- Knowledge of general and pediatric dentistry is a plus, demonstrating versatility across specialties
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care and patient communication
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude
