Overview
We are seeking a licensed, skilled, and compassionate Registered Massage Therapist to join our wellness team as a part time independent contractor and provide relaxing and therapeutic massage treatments for our employees. This role is essential in enhancing overall staff wellness and fostering a culture of holistic health. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional care through tailored massage therapy treatments, using their expertise to promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being in a supportive environment focused on health, healing, and outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
· Conduct thorough assessments to determine individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
· Perform various massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address specific musculoskeletal issues.
· Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective treatments.
· Manage pain and occupational health concerns through targeted massage therapy interventions.
· Educate patients on post-treatment care, stretching, and self-care practices to enhance recovery.
· Maintain accurate documentation of treatments provided and progress in compliance with healthcare standards.
· Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming, professional environment that fosters trust and comfort.
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications
· Successful completion of a recognized program and holds an active membership with a licensed association and registered to work in Manitoba required.
· Proven experience as a massage therapist or similar role (1-2 years is preferred)
· Proficiency in various techniques and ability to learn new techniques as required.
· In-depth understanding of health and safety guidelines.
· Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and customize treatments accordingly.
· Exceptional communication skills with the ability to educate clients effectively.
