Role Description This full-time on-site role, based in Montreal, QC, is for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supporting patients within a specialized urology practice. The nurse will perform patient assessments, take vital signs, prepare patients for consultations and procedures, and provide pre- and post-operative education.
Daily responsibilities include administering medications and treatments as directed, assisting with diagnostic tests and minor procedures, and maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation. The nurse will coordinate patient flow, liaise with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and help ensure a safe, clean,
and productive clinical environment. The role also involves communicating clearly with patients and families, reinforcing care plans, and promoting a respectful, inclusive experience for all.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Quebec, in valuable standing.
- Clinical experience in urology, surgical nursing, outpatient care, or a related specialty is an asset.
- Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, and basic life support (BLS) skills.
- Proficiency in administering medications, assisting with procedures, and managing infection control practices.
- Solid documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) skills, with attention to accuracy and confidentiality.
- Clear, empathetic communication skills and the ability to support patients with sensitive urological and sexual health concerns.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and manage a steady clinical workload.
- Comfort with advanced medical technology and willingness to learn new procedures and protocols.
- Fluency in English and French
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive patient care.
