Mississauga
REGISTERED PHYSIOTHERAPIST — FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO HELP PATIENTS GET REAL ANSWERS AND REAL SOLUTIONS.
Mississauga, Ontario | Spine Advanced
This isn't a conventional physiotherapy position.
And we're not looking for a conventional physiotherapist.
We're looking for someone exceptional: positive, energetic, clinically capable, curious, entrepreneurial and genuinely excited by what healthcare could become when we're willing to look beyond the usual treatment box.
At Spine Advanced, we've spent years developing and implementing advanced, non-invasive approaches for patients with chronic and difficult musculoskeletal conditions—particularly the patients who have already experienced what we call the "medical runaround."
They've seen their doctor. They've had imaging. They've tried medication. They've been told to rest. They've done conventional therapy. They've waited for referrals. Sometimes they've been told that surgery, injections or simply "living with it" are their remaining options.
We believe many of these patients deserve another path.
Our clinic combines clinical experience with advanced technologies and treatment approaches including spinal and extremity decompression, Class IV laser therapy, shockwave therapy, rehabilitation and other emerging methods of non-invasive care.
We're interested in solutions, not simply services.
And we're looking for a physiotherapist who gets excited by that distinction.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You might be our person if you're the physiotherapist who asks:
"Why are we doing it this way?"
"Could we get a better result?"
"What else could we try?"
"What could physiotherapy look like five years from now?"
We want someone who is excited by possibility rather than intimidated by change.
Someone who enjoys learning new technologies and treatment methodologies and wants to combine excellent physiotherapy fundamentals with approaches they may never have had access to in a conventional clinic.
You don't need to arrive knowing everything we do.
You need to arrive wanting to learn.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Positive and upbeat — patients and coworkers feel better when you're around.
- Professional — you understand that your behaviour represents both you and the clinic.
- Clinically capable — strong assessment, reasoning and patient-management skills matter.
- Curious — you want to understand why something works, not simply follow a protocol.
- Innovative — new ideas energize you rather than threaten you.
- Entrepreneurial — you see opportunities and think about how to build things, not just how to complete today's schedule.
- Driven — you want to become genuinely excellent at what you do.
- Hard-working — when something needs doing, you don't wait for somebody else to notice.
- Responsible and dependable — patients and teammates can count on you.
- Accountable — if something goes wrong,
your first instinct is to understand it and improve it, not find somebody to blame.
- Low-drama and team-oriented — problems are handled directly, respectfully and professionally.
- Confident enough to think differently — "that's how we've always done it" isn't a compelling clinical argument to you.
- Humble enough to keep learning — innovation without clinical judgment isn't innovation.
- Ambitious — not necessarily for a title, but for mastery, impact and the possibility of becoming a leader in your profession.
WHAT MAKES THIS PROSPECT DIFFERENT We aren't simply looking for someone to occupy a treatment room and see patients.
For the right person, we want to create an environment where you can grow into something much bigger.
You'll have the opportunity to work with treatment technologies and clinical concepts that aren't available in many traditional physiotherapy settings.
You'll learn how we approach complex spinal, disc, joint and chronic pain patients using combinations of advanced technologies, rehabilitation and individualized clinical reasoning.
More importantly, we want your brain involved.
If you discover a better protocol, we want to hear about it.
If you see an opportunity to improve outcomes, let's investigate it.
If there's an emerging treatment technology worth exploring, let's explore it.
If you're interested in developing expertise, participating in clinical research, refining treatment protocols, educating other professionals or ultimately becoming recognized for an area of advanced clinical care, we want to help create that opportunity.
We're not interested in telling an ambitious clinician to "stay in their lane."
We'd rather help you build a bigger lane.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Technology doesn't replace a great clinician.
It gives a great clinician more possibilities.
We believe some of the biggest advances in musculoskeletal care will come from combining excellent clinical judgment with new technologies and new ways of thinking.
That requires clinicians who are willing to learn.
It also requires people with integrity.
Patients trust us when they're vulnerable, frustrated and sometimes running out of options. We take that responsibility seriously.
So while we're progressive clinically, our expectations professionally are old-fashioned:
Show up. Work hard. Tell the truth. Treat people well. Keep your word. Own your mistakes. Solve problems. Support your team. Keep learning.
No ego.
No politics.
No unnecessary drama.
WHO PROBABLY WON'T ENJOY WORKING HERE
If you're looking primarily for somewhere to collect a paycheque, follow the same treatment routine you've always followed and go home, we're probably not the right clinic.
If new technology makes you immediately suspicious simply because it's unfamiliar, this probably isn't your environment.
If feedback feels like criticism, accountability feels uncomfortable, or every problem somehow becomes someone else's responsibility, we won't be a good fit.
But if hearing "there might be a better way" immediately makes you want to investigate it…
we should probably meet.
THE PERSON WE HOPE TO FIND
Maybe you're already an experienced physiotherapist who has realized that you want more from your career.
Or maybe you're earlier in your career and already know that you don't want to spend the next 25 years simply repeating what everyone else is doing.
Either can work.
We're hiring primarily for character, intelligence, clinical potential and mindset.
Our ideal candidate could ultimately become much more than another physiotherapist working in our clinic.
We're looking for someone with the potential to become our superstar physiotherapist—someone patients ask for, coworkers rely upon and other clinicians eventually learn from.
As our clinical technologies, treatment programs and professional collaborations continue to develop, the right person could have opportunities to grow alongside them.
Where that ultimately leads will depend considerably on you.
REQUIREMENTS
You must be a physiotherapist registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, with appropriate professional liability coverage and the ability to practise in Ontario.
Experience is valuable, but mindset matters enormously to us.
We'll choose an exceptional person who is hungry to learn over someone with an impressive résumé who stopped being curious years ago.
WANT TO GET OUR ATTENTION?
Don't send us only a generic résumé.
Send your résumé and tell us something about yourself.
In a short note, answer this question:
If you had access to better technology, clinical mentorship and the freedom to think beyond conventional physiotherapy, what would you want to become exceptionally good at treating—and why?
There isn't one correct answer.
We want to see how you think.
If you're excited about helping patients find solutions, learning methods you haven't encountered before and potentially helping shape what the next generation of non-invasive musculoskeletal care looks like, we'd like to hear from you.
