Bayshore Medical Personnel is excited to announce a full-time contract opportunity for a Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in Petawawa, ON! We're looking for dedicated professionals to make a meaningful impact in Military Health Services

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The successful applicant will provide direct patient care under the direction of physicians, Registered Nurses, and/or other healthcare providers.

Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:

- COVID screening prior to patients entering the clinic;
- assistance with vaccinations;
- conducting patient history and physical assessments;
- performing selected diagnostic and therapeutic interventions; and
- counseling patients on preventive health care.

Qualifications The LPN/RPN shall possess, as a minimum, one (1) full-time equivalent year of experience within the last 3 years in nursing practice conducting patient assessments and providing direct nursing care for a broad range of diseases in the adult population in a primary care or ambulatory care setting.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

All LPN/RPNs must, as a minimum, have:

1.



Graduated from a Practical Nursing Program approved by Council of the College of Nurses;
2. Current and valid license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice; and
3. Certificate of Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C.

Other Requirements:
- Current N95 mask fit certificate CSA Standards Z94.4 (within 2 years)
- Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (within 2 years)
