Position: Flat Roofer

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Flat Roofer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and replacing flat roofing systems on residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works safely, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, repair, maintain, and replace flat roofing systems.
- Work with roofing materials including modified bitumen, EPDM, TPO, PVC, and other flat roofing systems.
- Prepare roof surfaces, including removal of existing materials, cleaning, priming, and installation of appropriate substrates.
- Install insulation, vapour barriers, membranes, flashings, drains, curbs, and other roofing components.
- Identify leaks, damaged areas, and potential roofing issues and complete appropriate repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and safety equipment correctly.
- Measure and cut roofing materials accurately.
- Complete work according to project specifications, building codes, and company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including fall-protection requirements.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and contractors.
- Perform other roofing-related duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in flat roofing is preferred.
- Knowledge of flat roofing systems, materials,



and installation techniques.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Physically capable of lifting roofing materials and performing demanding manual work.
- Comfortable using roofing tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence and able to drive manual vehicle is an asset.
- Fall-protection or working-at-heights training is an asset.

Physical Requirements This position involves frequent standing, bending, lifting, climbing, kneeling, and working at heights. Candidates must be able to safely handle roofing materials and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.

Primarily working on a team, so must be open to working with others, giving assistance to complete projects as needed.

Math skills: Ability to make accurate measurements using a tape measure an asset
