Specifically, ITPS offers a range of training courses for Test Pilots and Flight Test Engineers. ITPS has an established track record of providing cost-effective flight test training to air forces and civilian industries around the world. The training reflects lessons learned during many years of flight-testing airplanes and helicopters for manufacturers, as well as military and civilian institutions.

For more on ITPS, its products and services, refer to the company’s website, at Position Overview The Flight Test Engineer (FTE) plays a critical role in the planning, execution, and analysis of flight test programs.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, the FTE supports aircraft development, modification, certification, and training activities.
This position also contributes to the delivery of flight test training programs, including classroom and airborne instruction for student test pilots and flight test engineers.
Duties: Working within an integrated flight test team to deliver contracted flight test services;
Support the planning, coordination, and execution of flight test programs
Developing flight test plans, procedures, and technical documentation
Monitoring and recording aircraft performance and systems data during flight test missions
Analyzing flight test data and preparing detailed technical reports
Assisting in the integration, modification, and instrumentation of test aircraft
Delivering classroom instruction on flight test principles, aircraft systems, and data analysis
Providing airborne instruction in support of flight test training programs
Mentoring and supporting student test pilots and flight test engineers
Collaborating with pilots, maintenance personnel, and engineering teams to ensure safe and effective operations
Participating in internal development projects related to fleet capability and training enhancements
Traveling domestically and internationally to support flight test activities,
as required
Requirements: Graduate of a Flight Test Engineer course from a recognized institution (ie. ITPS or equivalent)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an instructional or training role within a flight test, aviation, or military setting A minimum of 3-5 years of previous instructional experience is required
Strong knowledge of
Aircraft systems and performance
Flight test methodologies and safety practices
Data acquisition, analysis, and reporting Demonstrated ability to deliver technical instruction in both classroom and airborne environments
Experience supporting or executing structured flight test programs
Experience working in military or civilian flight test organizations is an asset
Familiarity with aircraft modification, instrumentation, and certification processes is an asset
Strong technical writing and reporting skills is an asset
Licensing & Regulatory Requirements A pilot’s licence (Commercial Pilot Licence or Airline Transport Pilot Licence) is considered an asset, but is not required
No Transport Canada Flight Engineer Licence is required for this position Work Conditions Occasional travel, including international assignments
Work may include both office/classroom and aircraft environments
Participation in flight test operations, including airborne data monitoring and instruction Ability to travel and spend periods abroad working on flight test-related projects
