Greater Sudbury

At Sudbury Hyundai, great customer service is our priority. Although we service and sell vehicles, we consider ourselves in the people business. We are committed to building long-term relationships with our customers, team members, and our community.

We operate with a no-commission, no-pressure philosophy — which means our team is focused on doing right by the customer, every time. That culture starts on the lot, and that is where you come in.

Position Summary

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Work Location: In person — Greater Sudbury, ON

Schedule: Monday to Saturday (schedule will be confirmed at time of offer)

The Sales Assistant / Lot Attendant is an entry point into the automotive industry with real responsibility from day one. You are the first set of hands on every vehicle a customer sees — on the lot, in the showroom, and online. Your work directly shapes first impressions, supports the sales team, and ensures our inventory is always presented at its best.

Reports to: Sales Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

Lot and Vehicle Presentation

- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the vehicle lot at all times
- Ensure all display and demo vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for immediate use — no customer should ever wait on a vehicle that wasn't prepared
- Confirm showroom display vehicles are presented correctly, with seats and mirrors in normal position and interiors in excellent condition
- Move and park vehicles safely and accurately to designated locations
- Assist with vehicle receiving, plate transfers, and lot organization following recent inventory arrivals
- Conduct regular lot audits to ensure every vehicle is accounted for, properly positioned, and presentable

Inventory Photography and Website Presentation
- Photograph all incoming new and pre-owned inventory following the dealership's standard shot sequence, ensuring consistent, high-quality images across all listings
- Upload photos to the dealership inventory management system promptly so vehicles are live and visible to online shoppers without delay
- Audit live website listings regularly to confirm photos are accurate, complete, and representative of the vehicle's current condition
- Coordinate with the Pre-Owned Manager or Sales Manager when a vehicle requires re-shooting following reconditioning, accessory installation, or other post-arrival changes
- Flag any inventory discrepancies or missing listings to the appropriate manager

Sales Team Support

- Assist the sales team with vehicle preparation ahead of scheduled appointments and deliveries
- Retrieve, stage, and return demonstration vehicles as directed
- Support the delivery process by ensuring vehicles are clean and ready at the agreed time
- Perform errands and support tasks as requested by the sales or management team

What We're Looking For

- A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record (required)
- Comfortable operating a smartphone or tablet for inventory photography and uploading to dealership systems

- Attention to detail — you notice when something is off and you fix it without being asked
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable
- Able to work independently and manage your own time on the lot
- Physically able to meet the demands of the role, including walking, standing for extended periods, working in confined spaces, and working outdoors in all weather conditions including Northern Ontario winters
- Prior automotive experience is an asset but not required — we will train the right person
- A genuine interest in the automotive industry and a desire to grow within it

What's In It For You

This is a role with a real runway. Several members of our current team started in positions just like this one. If you want to build a career in automotive sales, finance, or management, this is a legitimate place to start — and we invest in people who show up and take their work seriously.

Benefits include

- Competitive hourly wage: CA$19.00–CA$22.00 per hour
- Company events
- Dental care
- Disability insurance
- Employee assistance program
- Extended health care
- Life insurance
- On-site parking
- Paid time off
- RRSP match
- Store discount
- Vision care

Requirements

- Valid driver's licence (required)
- Must be able to reliably commute to Greater Sudbury, ON P3B 2E5 or plan to relocate before starting (required)

How to Apply

If this sounds like the right fit, we want to hear from you. Submit your resume and a brief note about why you're interested in the role. You don't need a perfect resume; you need to show us you're reliable, motivated, and ready to work. We look forward to meeting you.
