Role Description The Sales Representative role at YYC Flooring Solutions is a full-time, on-site position based in Calgary, AB. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting customers, understanding their flooring needs, and recommending suitable products from the store’s wide range of carpets, vinyl, laminate, hardwood, and tiles. The role involves preparing quotes, processing sales transactions, and coordinating with installation or logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and service.

The Sales

Representative maintains product displays, keeps the showroom clean and organized, and updates product knowledge to provide accurate information on features, pricing,



and availability. This position also includes following up with customers, handling basic inquiries and concerns, and contributing to sales targets and overall store performance.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
- Sales and negotiation abilities, including experience working toward individual or team sales targets.
- Basic knowledge of flooring products or a willingness to quickly learn product features, usage, and installation considerations.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for explaining options, pricing, and processes to customers.
- Comfort with using point-of-sale systems, basic computer applications, and managing straightforward paperwork or documentation.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining showroom displays, inventory awareness, and accurate quotes.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move product samples safely, and work on-site in a retail environment.
- Prior retail or home improvement sales experience is an asset; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
