Responsibilities
Research, pitch, shoot, edit, and deliver compelling media content to the university community by assigned deadlines. Claim assignments on Camayak for segment delivery that fits your academic schedule. Uphold RMU and department policies by adhering to the AMC Student Media Handbook to ensure inclusive and experiential media learning.Engage with RMU students, alumni, campus groups, and local contributors to source original content for programming blocks.
Develop specialty programming and themed content for campus events and AMC initiatives. Manage the scheduling of advertisements, promotional material, and station imaging to ensure skilled programming variety. Coordinate with the Program Director to ensure all media meets station standards and supports live programming.
Produce and schedule content for "dead air" periods to maintain continuous, intentional broadcasting during scheduled timeslots.
Prepare media content for campus events and off-site livestreams on student media platforms.
Minimum Qualifications
All majors are welcome. Prior participation in a volunteer role on an RMU-TV show is strongly encouraged. Successful candidates will possess strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of people, to problem solve, and work within deadlines.
The ideal candidate should be organized, dependable, comfortable learning new technology,
and interested in producing and curating engaging audio and video segments for a diverse university audience.
