HDR is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to join our Transportation Construction Services team in Richmond Hill to work on infrastructure projects for provincial and municipal highways and roadway projects. Reporting to the group lead, the position will be responsible for overseeing and managing a Construction Administration and Inspection Teams while liaising with client and contractor representatives.

Oversee and ensure Contract Administration deliverables are completed in accordance to client requirements

- Promote and oversee implementation of health and safety regulations
- Review, interpret, and analyze the Contractor’s initial critical path schedule to determine conformance to the contract, and provide regular review and analysis of monthly critical path schedules
- Liaise with contractors and client representatives
- Chair and lead project meetings
- Provide interpretation and recommendation of contractor submitted claims
- Negotiate price agreements, change orders, claims and work directives
- Provide support and construction perspectives to design teams
- Manage project budget and schedule
- Manage day to day activities of the project team and Subconsultants
- Prepare status reports and other related project planning and control documentation
- Visit project sites to attend meetings and monitor construction progress
- Travel to projects across the province for extended periods of time
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, and or related discipline with relevant experience. ~ T) and hold a Road Construction Contract Administrator (rcca) designation.



~ Completed the MTO T131 – Advanced Claims – Dispute Resolution training; ~ Experience with overseeing construction administration aspects on roadway, highway, and bridges infrastructure projects; ~15 years or more of progressive construction and contract administration experience; ~ Experience on Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) construction projects would be an asset. ~ Sound knowledge of roadway and highway design standards, OPS specifications, standard drawings. ~ Knowledge and skill in interpreting and applying transportation construction practices; procedures and quality assurance techniques; ~ Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Laws and Regulations (Environmental, Health and Safety, etc.) and their application in construction contracts; ~ Experience working with MS Project or Primavera (P6) would be considered a strong asset; ~ Experience with MS Word and Excel; ~ Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and be able to independently write reports and correspondence; ~ Construction or design certifications; ~ Experience with estimating software (Timberline), scheduling software (Primavera P3 or SureTrak), and project management software (Prolog) ~ Ability to interpret construction schedules. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 10 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management,



including but not limited to construction contracts; document, time, cost and quality management; change management; and site safety. estimating, bidding, preparing and administering purchase orders and subcontracts, scheduling, cost control, etc.

Experience with Microsoft Office Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc. Must have solid people skills and the ability to interact with the Owner, Engineer, Contractor and other project stakeholders Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
