The Opportunity

This position is ideal for a lawyer looking to take the next step in their litigation career. You will handle your own files and work directly with experienced counsel. You will receive hands‑on mentorship to assist in further development of your career.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

As a member of our Alberta litigation team you will:

- Manage and contribute to a variety of insurance defence and civil litigation matters
- Draft pleadings, briefs, applications, opinions and other litigation materials
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations

- Conduct questionings, mediations, and chambers applications
- Contribute to the strategic management of complex and high‑profile matters
- Deliver exceptional client service standards through effective communication and file management
- Participate in professional development and business development activities that support practice growth





What will help you succeed in this role?

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a lawyer who brings:

- 5 - 9 years of post‑call civil litigation experience
- Experience in insurance defence litigation is preferred; candidates with strong civil litigation experience from other practice areas are encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with the Alberta Rules of Court and litigation procedures
- Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
- Sound professional judgment and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal
- Strong organizational skills and time management abilities
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional client service
