The roleReporting to the VP, Information Technology, you will own the daily operation, security and modernization of our corporate technology platform: Microsoft Entra ID and identity governance, Microsoft 365, the Azure and AWS environments that run our line-of-business and AI applications, security operations, and backup and disaster recovery. You will lead a small IT operations team, manage key infrastructure vendors, and turn an environment in transition into a documented, resilient, auditable platform. This is a hands-on leadership role; you will set the standards and also work directly in the systems you own.

What you will do

- Administer and harden Microsoft Entra ID: security groups, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, access lifecycle and license hygiene across corporate and franchise-facing users
- Operate the Microsoft 365 estate, including Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams, and lead endpoint management and standardization
- Own Azure platform operations for production workloads: App Services, container jobs, Key Vault, storage, networking, monitoring and cost management




- Administer a multi-account AWS workplace: EC2 Windows Server and SQL Server workloads, Active Directory, Linux integration services, VPC networking, IAM and S3, including monitoring and cost optimization
- Own backup and disaster recovery across cloud and on-premises systems, including cross-region protection and defined, tested recovery objectives
- Lead security operations: email security, MFA and Conditional Access enforcement, vulnerability remediation, incident response, and evidence for audits and cyber insurance
- Provide the operational foundation for our AI application portfolio: identity integration, environment management, deployment support and usage governance
- Run ITSM practices in our service desk platform: incident, request and change management, runbooks and access reviews
- Manage infrastructure vendors, licensing and renewals across Microsoft, AWS, backup and security tooling
- Lead, coach and cross-train a small IT operations team, building documentation that removes single points of failure

What you bring

- 10+ years of progressive infrastructure and operations experience, including 3+ years leading teams or major infrastructure programs
- Experience owning an enterprise environment end to end, including inherited and legacy systems
- Deep,



current hands-on expertise with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 administration at organizational scale
- Strong Azure operations experience: App Services, containers, Key Vault, networking, monitoring, cost management
- Hands-on AWS administration experience: EC2 (Windows Server and SQL Server), VPC networking, IAM, S3, AWS Backup, CloudWatch and Systems Manager
- Working knowledge of security operations: email security, endpoint protection, identity-based controls, incident response
- Experience designing and testing backup and disaster recovery in cloud environments
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration and support in cloud and on-premises environments; familiarity with PostgreSQL an asset
- ITSM discipline; ITIL certification an asset
- Clear documentation and communication habits; comfort working with executives, vendors and non-technical users
- Experience in franchise, retail, distribution or other multi-site environments an asset
- Microsoft or AWS certifications an asset

Compensation and details

- Base salary range: $125,000 to $145,000, based on experience
- Eligible for an annual performance bonus
- Extended health and dental benefits
- Hybrid role: three days per week on site at our Toronto, Ontario head office
- Minimal travel required
