About the Role

EdgeTunePower is seeking an experienced Senior Protection & Control Engineer to support the design, analysis, validation, and implementation of protection systems for complex power systems.

The successful candidate will work across projects involving data centers, conventional generation, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), inverter-based resources (IBRs), microgrids, and grid-connected and islanded power systems. This role requires robust technical expertise in protection philosophy, coordination, relay settings, and protection system studies.

Key Responsibilities





- Protection philosophy, design, and development
- Protection coordination for conventional generation, BESS, IBRs, and large loads
- Relay settings, coordination, and protection system studies
- Data center protection — UPS, BESS, cooling systems, backup generation, MV/LV distribution, and critical loads
- Grid-connected and off-grid/islanded systems
- Generator, transformer, bus, feeder, and motor protection
- Grounding and ground-fault protection
- Protection challenges associated with inverter-limited fault current
- Arc-flash, short-circuit, and equipment duty assessments
- Experience with SEL and other major protection platforms
- Protection validation, commissioning, and HIL testing experience is a strong asset
