Duties

- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of menu items and specials
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely entry and communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments with basic math skills
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience
- Assist in food preparation when needed and support overall restaurant cleanliness and organization

Experience





- Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly preferred, especially within the food industry or hospitality sectors
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar technology is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles that require multitasking and quick thinking
- Basic math proficiency for cashiering, billing, and change calculation purposes

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of restaurant experience
- Good English communication skills
- Valid Serving It Right certificate
- Valid SIN and legally eligible to work in Canada
- Hardworking, punctual, responsible, and reliable
