Role Description This full-time, on-site Shift Supervisor role is based at one of Soul Foods Group’s restaurants in Ottawa, ON.

The Shift

Supervisor oversees daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, and cleanliness. This role leads and supports team members, assigns tasks, and monitors performance to maintain productive workflows and a positive work environment.

Supervisor assists with cash handling, opening and closing procedures, inventory checks,



and adherence to safety and food-handling policies. The role also involves addressing guest concerns, supporting training and coaching, and helping achieve store targets for sales and profitability.

Qualifications

- Experience in supervising teams in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment, with strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Solid customer service skills, including the ability to handle guest inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain a welcoming environment.
- Basic cash-handling, point-of-sale (POS) system experience, and comfort with inventory and shift reporting tasks.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced setting.
- Understanding of food safety, health and safety practices, and company standards, with attention to detail and reliability.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant operations.
- Previous experience with quick-service or coffee brands is an asset; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
