Job Overview
TriSon Farms International is a new, dynamic and rapidly growing business that was born out of a family tradition of quality, integrity, innovation and a love of food. We provide our customers with the best, premium quality produce year-round. The Picker / Stager is primarily responsible for inventory management, accuracy of shipping and receiving products, and the overall quality of products for TriSon Farms International.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and stage products based on Pick Slips to fulfill customer orders.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately within the required timeframe.
- Cleaning and tidying as required to maintain a safe work environment.
- Rotate and arrange inventory to ensure FIFO is met.
- Loading and unloading of inventory, stock, and supplies as required.
- Load trucks according to BOLs and customers specs.
- Receive trucks according to purchase orders and unload in staging area.
- Ensure pallets all have lot ID tags prior to inputting into inventory.
- Put away incoming inventory into specified areas.
- Assist with allocations of product for work orders.
- Loading and double checking the trucks to ensure everything ordered is on the right truck.
- Assist with the general housekeeping of the warehouse and assists in other duties as needed.
- Record all count issues found with products and report findings immediately to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager.
- Remove/apply and record product inventory tags as required.
- Identify and escalate any pallets that visibly do not meet TriSon Farms International specifications (crushed, leaning, damaged, etc.).
- Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OHSA, Food Safety, WSIB, CFIA, USDA, provincial and federal laws.
- Operate forklift and/or pallet jack to transport product around the warehouse.
- Accurately count and review product in a timely manner.
- Work with the Warehouse & Logistics Manager to routinely audit and verify inventory counts.
- Conduct other duties as assigned by the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, including but not limited to operating forklifts, picking, stacking and cleanup.
Experience
- Highly energetic and assertive with strong leadership skills
- Forklift certified
- Excellent, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in produce Industry
- Must have solid time management skills with emphasis on meeting deadlines
Job Type: Full time Pay: From $19.00 per hour
