About Sin Bin

Sin Bin Source for Sports is a locally owned sporting-goods retailer located in the heart of Sherwood Park. We specialize in hockey, baseball/softball, ringette, lacrosse and football. We take pride in providing knowledgeable service to our customers.

We're looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team.

This is an important role behind the scenes at Sin Bin. You'll be responsible for keeping merchandise moving efficiently through the store and in time, assisting in managing warranty claims for defective or damaged sporting goods.

We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented and comfortable taking ownership of a process from start to finish.

The Role

This position combines shipping and receiving and other administrative work.

You'll receive incoming merchandise, prepare outgoing shipments. As well as helping to manage inventory that flows through our store.

Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving

- Receive and verify incoming merchandise against purchase orders and packing slips
- Unpack, inspect and organize incoming inventory
- Prepare packages, shipping labels and documentation
- Maintain an organized receiving and backroom area
- Assist with inventory counts and inventory accuracy
- Identify and report discrepancies, damaged merchandise or shortages

Warranty Claims

- Gather required information and documentation for warranty submissions
- Communicate with manufacturers and suppliers regarding warranty claims
- Track warranty claims from submission through resolution
- Maintain accurate records of outstanding claims
- Coordinate replacement products, credits, repairs or other warranty resolutions
- Follow up on outstanding claims to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner

General Store Operations

- Assist the sales team and management when required
- Assist in maintaining an organized stockroom and receiving area




- Assist with general store duties during busy periods
- Follow established procedures for shipping, receiving, and warranty processing

- Good communication skills
- Comfortable using computers
- Professional and courteous when dealing with customers and suppliers

Strong assets:

- Previous shipping/receiving or warehouse experience
- Previous retail experience
- Experience processing returns or warranty claims
- Inventory management experience
- Experience with courier/shipping systems
- Knowledge of hockey, ringette, baseball and other sporting goods
- Experience using a heat press and DTF prints

- $16–$20/hour, depending on experience
