Position summary:

The Shoppe Associate supports the daily operation of the Boutique Hospice Shoppe, including customer service, donation intake, sorting, pricing, and merchandising. This role helps maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment and contributes to the success of the store by working closely with staff and volunteers. All sales support the mission of Hospice SENB and end-of-life care in our community.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet and assist customers; process sales using the POS system.
- Accept, sort, and assess donations for quality and resale.
- Price and prepare merchandise for the sales floor.
- Maintain clean, organized displays and donation areas.
- Follow safety procedures and assist with daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to support daily operations.

Qualifications & Competencies:

- Experience in retail, customer service, or donation sorting is an asset.
- Friendly, reliable,



and adaptable with strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working with and supporting volunteers.
- Comfortable using basic digital tools and technology, including inventory systems, email, and data entry software.
- Fluent in English and French (preferred)
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.

Working Conditions

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
- Fast-paced retail environment with frequent standing, lifting, and interaction with the public.
- Flexibility to work weekends as needed.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 – 32.0 per week
