ROGCS Construction Services Ltd. is looking for an experienced Siding Installer to join our growing construction team in Victoria, BC.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of quality and details, and can work efficiently while maintaining a safe and qualified job site.
The ideal candidate has solid experience installing siding and exterior cladding on residential and/or commercial projects and is comfortable working independently as well as as part of a crew.
Responsibilities
- Install siding and exterior cladding according to project specifications and manufacturer requirements
- Install fibre cement, vinyl, wood and other siding products
- Install rainscreen systems, strapping and related components
- Complete exterior trim, corners, window and door details
- Install flashing, membranes and weatherproofing components
- Measure, cut and fit materials accurately
- Read and understand construction drawings and specifications
- Maintain high-quality workmanship and attention to detail
- Keep the work area clean, organized and safe
- Follow company and WorkSafeBC safety requirements
- Communicate effectively with the Foreman and other trades
- Identify and report potential issues before they become problems
Requirements
- Previous siding installation experience is required
- Strong knowledge of siding installation techniques and exterior building systems
- Experience with fibre cement siding is an asset
- Experience with rainscreen systems is an asset
- Ability to read basic construction drawings
- Ability to work at heights and use ladders/scaffolding safely
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Good physical condition and ability to perform physically demanding work
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety, quality and professional workmanship
