Job Summary The Site Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day management of construction operations on site. This includes coordinating crews and subcontractors, planning and scheduling work, managing site resources, maintaining quality and safety standards, and communicating progress and issues to the Project Manager and Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will be a strong field leader who can effectively manage multiple priorities, make sound decisions independently, and maintain a productive and professional job site.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate, and schedule daily construction activities.
- Establish work methods and sequencing to meet project schedules and milestones.
- Coordinate daily activities of site crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects are completed within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates and reporting to the Project Manager.
- Ensure the efficient use of labour, equipment, materials, and other site resources.
- Supervise and provide direction to field personnel while maintaining a productive and professional work environment.
- Review drawings, specifications, work plans, and project requirements as required.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure construction activities meet project specifications and quality requirements.
- Review and verify daily paperwork, including daily logs, quantities, inspection records, delivery receipts, vehicle/equipment inspections, and other project documentation.
- Ensure that workers and subcontractors follow Sanscon Construction Ltd. policies and project-specific requirements.

Requirements





- College diploma or equivalent education in a construction-related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in civil construction, road construction, municipal infrastructure, or similar work is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
- Strong leadership, management, delegation, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced construction setting.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Computer skills are an asset, including experience with Microsoft Office and construction-related software.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a project team.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence.
- Ability and willingness to travel between construction sites throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

Education

- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

- Construction industry: 2 years minimum (preferred)

Licence/Certification

- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence (required)

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
