Responsibilities

- Operate snow plow trucks and heavy equipment such as loaders and salt spreaders to clear snow and ice from designated areas
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on snow removal equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and enhance safety on roads, sidewalks, and parking lots
- Follow safety protocols diligently while operating machinery in various weather conditions
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding work progress, hazards, or equipment issues




- Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting on snow removal vehicles as needed
- Maintain detailed logs of work performed, equipment usage, and any incidents or hazards encountered during shifts

Qualifications

- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, including snow plowing or similar tasks
- Familiarity with automotive repair is a plus
- Ability to operate machinery safely in adverse weather conditions and on varied terrains
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment use and winter operations
- Prior experience with freight or commercial driving is advantageous
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues on heavy equipment
