About BCO

Builders Collective Ottawa is a student-led community for people in Ottawa who actually ship. We run Saturday co-hacks at CRX, plus demo nights, a Discord, and public content on Instagram and LinkedIn.

The role

Help us tell the story of what happens in the room. You’d shoot and edit short-form video and stills from co-hacks, draft captions in our voice, and keep Instagram (Reels-first) and LinkedIn current. Everything is reviewed before it goes live.

What you’d work on

- Cover Saturday co-hacks in person at CRX (5th floor, uOttawa)
- Reels, photo carousels, and LinkedIn posts (every LinkedIn post needs an image)
- Recaps from real frames, not templates
- Occasional branded carousels in our chrome style

Who this is for

- Based in Ottawa and able to attend events in person
- Comfortable shooting on a phone and cutting a short reel
- Writes clearly and concisely
- Already in the community, or ready to show up

What this is not (yet)

A paid job, internship stipend, or contractor gig. You get a public body of work, event access, and a seat in the room.
