Role Description The SRED Grant Writer / Proposal Writer is a remote, contract role responsible for preparing high-quality funding proposals and documentation related to SR&ED; (Scientific Research & Experimental Development) and other grant programs. Day-to-day tasks include researching funding opportunities, analyzing client projects for eligibility, and drafting clear, accurate, and persuasive proposals and supporting materials. The role involves coordinating with clients and internal stakeholders to gather technical and financial information, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and deadlines.
The writer will maintain organized records of submissions, track outcomes, and refine proposal strategies to improve funding success rates.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Grant Writing and Proposal Writing, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive, and well-structured documents.
- Skills in Grant Administration and Prospect Research to identify opportunities, manage application processes, and ensure compliance.
- Background in Fundraising or development, including familiarity with funding cycles and donor or grantor expectations.
- Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, especially for interpreting technical or financial information for SR&ED; and similar programs.
- Excellent written communication skills in English, with attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.
- Ability to work independently in a remote workplace, manage multiple deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with SR&ED; or other R&D; tax credit or grant programs is an asset.
- Proficiency with standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, online project management platforms).
- Relevant education in communications, business, finance, science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
