Position Summary
CPA Manitoba is seeking an organized, creative, and relationship-focused professional to join our team as a Stakeholder Services & Engagement Officer.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Stakeholder Services & Engagement, this role is responsible for delivering exceptional member and stakeholder experiences through the planning and execution of events, administration of key engagement programs, and support of initiatives that strengthen connections within the profession.
This position works collaboratively across the organization and with external partners,
volunteers, and sponsors to advance CPA Manitoba's strategic goals and deliver programs that are engaging, impactful, and aligned with our brand and values.

Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Management
- Lead all phases of the event management cycle, from research and planning through execution and post-event evaluation.
- Coordinate a variety of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including a convocation, conference, gala,
milestone celebration, and other stakeholder engagement activities.
- Develop event budgets, track expenses, and ensure events are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Build and maintain relationships with venues, vendors, sponsors, speakers, and event partners.
- Identify innovative ideas and best practices to continually enhance event experiences.
- Analyze participation and feedback data to support continuous improvement and future planning.
Member Recognition Program
- Manage CPA Manitoba's annual Member Recognition Program from promotion and nomination intake through committee support and stakeholder communications.
- Build awareness of recognition opportunities and proactively identify potential nominees.
- Support program reviews and research best practices from across the CPA profession.
Stakeholder Services Initiatives
- Support initiatives focused on sponsorship and advertising opportunities, volunteer engagement, financial literacy programs, and employer outreach.
- Assist in implementing technology-driven improvements that enhance processes and stakeholder experiences.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of programs and services that create value for members, candidates, students, and stakeholders.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
- Degree or diploma in event planning, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in event management or project management.
- Experience collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, vendors,
and partners with a customer service focus.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Creativity, innovation, and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, or similar design tools is considered an asset.
