Special Occasions Tent Rental is looking for a reliable Box Truck Driver / Event Delivery Crew Member to join our team.
This is not just a driving position. You will be responsible for driving, loading, delivering, setting up and picking up event rental equipment throughout Simcoe County, Muskoka and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Drive 16–20 ft box trucks to event sites
- Complete daily vehicle inspections
- Load and unload rental equipment
- Deliver and pick up tables, chairs, tents and event equipment
- Assist with tent installations and takedowns
- Properly secure loads
- Follow daily routes and job paperwork
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Keep trucks clean and organized
- Assist in the warehouse when required
- Work with the crew until the day's scheduled jobs are completed
Requirements
- Valid G driver's licence
- Clean and insurable driving record
- Comfortable driving box trucks
- Physically capable of lifting and moving event equipment throughout the day
- Reliable transportation to our Orillia location
- Able to work long and variable hours during busy periods
- Available for early mornings and occasional weekends
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable and able to work without constant supervision
Assets
- Box truck or commercial driving experience
- Trailer experience
- Tent/event rental experience
- Moving, delivery, construction or landscaping experience
- Load securement experience
- DZ or AZ licence( G required)
Hours Our schedule changes daily based on events. Start and finish times vary, and during peak season some days can be long.
There is no guaranteed daily finish time. We work until the scheduled deliveries, pickups and installations are completed.
We're looking for someone dependable who can be trusted with a truck, a route and a list of jobs and get them completed safely and properly.
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 70.0 per week
