As a Student Optician, you will support licensed opticians in delivering exceptional eye care solutions while developing your skills in a customer-focused environment.

Duties

- Assist licensed opticians with patient consultations, frame fittings, and lens selections to ensure optimal eye health and style preferences
- Support the preparation of eyewear by measuring, verifying prescriptions, and managing laboratory tasks such as lens edging and mounting
- Engage with customers to promote eyewear products, accessories, and lens options through friendly, knowledgeable sales interactions
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and prescriptions
- Help manage retail displays, stock inventory, and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the store
- Participate in training sessions on medical terminology related to eye care and laboratory techniques to enhance your technical understanding




- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service and ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications:

- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited opticianry program
- Bilingual in English and Cantonese or Mandarin is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and team-oriented approach
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical information clearly and professionally
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to eye care and optics
- Laboratory experience or familiarity with optical equipment such as lens edgers and mounting machines is highly desirable
