Supply Development Lead — Independent Cleaners & Cleaning Companies
We are an early-stage, pre-revenue startup looking for a resourceful and entrepreneurial Supply Development Lead to build our initial network of 50 qualified cleaning professionals .
Our supply network will consist of a combination of independent cleaning contractors and vetted small cleaning companies capable of servicing customer bookings.
This is initially a commission-based, project-focused role , with compensation tied to both successful recruitment and activation.
What You'll Do
You will own the initial supply-development process from:
Sourcing → Outreach → Phone Screening → Vetting → Documentation → CRM Entry →
Recommendation
Responsibilities include
- Source and recruit independent cleaning contractors and small cleaning companies
- Conduct initial phone screens
- Assess cleaning experience, professionalism and overall fit
- Confirm service/coverage areas
- Confirm availability and capacity to accept bookings
- Confirm transportation and required cleaning equipment/supplies
- Collect and verify required insurance documentation
- For cleaning companies, confirm team size and realistic available capacity
- Maintain complete and accurate candidate records in our CRM
- Follow up on outstanding information and documentation
- Present fully qualified candidates for final approval
We will handle final approval, contractor agreements, onboarding and activation.
Example Recruitment Channels
We expect you to proactively develop and manage your own sourcing strategy. Potential channels include:
- Facebook cleaning and housekeeping groups
- Local Facebook community groups and Facebook Marketplace
- Indeed and other recruitment platforms
- Craigslist and local classified sites
- LinkedIn
- Nextdoor and neighborhood communities
- Google and Google Maps searches for local cleaning businesses
- Cleaning-industry groups and online communities
- Direct outreach to independent cleaners and small cleaning companies
- Community employment organizations
- Local referral networks
- Referrals from cleaners already accepted into our network
Creativity in identifying additional high-quality recruitment channels is strongly encouraged.
Compensation
As a bootstrapped, pre-revenue startup funded with personal capital , we have designed the compensation structure to reward successful recruitment while providing additional upside when recruited cleaners begin generating paid business.
Independent Cleaning Contractors
- $33 for each fully vetted and approved independent cleaning contractor
- +$50 when that cleaner successfully completes their first paid customer job
- Total potential: $83 per productive independent contractor
Small Cleaning Companies
- $100 for each fully vetted and approved cleaning company
- +$75 when the company successfully completes its first paid customer job
- +$25 for each additional cleaner from that company who becomes active and successfully completes a customer job, up to 4 additional cleaners
- Total potential: $275 per productive company relationship
Network Completion Bonus
- +$250 when the agreed initial supply network representing at least 50 qualified cleaners is successfully completed and approved.
Payments for initial recruitment can be released in milestones as the qualified network is built. What Counts as Qualified?
Our goal is qualified, usable cleaning capacity—not simply a database of names or unverified leads.
Independent contractors must successfully complete the required phone screening, experience review, service-area verification, availability assessment and required insurance/documentation checks. Their CRM profile must also be complete before being submitted for approval.
Cleaning companies will undergo similar screening, with additional verification of their business, insurance, team capacity, coverage area and ability to reliably fulfill customer bookings.
All candidates require final company approval before the recruitment commission is earned.
What Success Looks Like The initial objective is to build a qualified supply network representing at least 50 cleaners through a combination of independent cleaning professionals and approved small cleaning-company partners.
We're looking for someone who is resourceful, organized, persistent and comfortable with proactive outreach and phone screening . You should be capable of independently developing recruitment channels and building relationships rather than relying solely on inbound applicants.
While this prospect begins as a project-based, commission role, there is meaningful potential for the role and its capacity to be extended as we scale , including ongoing supply recruitment, expansion into additional service areas and markets, and broader Supply Development responsibilities as the company grows.
