Ellos HR Solutions is partnering with a well-established, global precision manufacturing organization in Cambridge to recruit a Technical Documentation Specialist to join its Engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their engineering or technical career who wants much more than a traditional documentation position.

You will work directly with machinery and automated equipment designed and built internally by the company's Engineering team. Your responsibility will be to understand how these machines work and transform engineering drawings, schematics and technical information into professional machine manuals used by operators, maintenance technicians and other technical personnel.

For someone with an educational background in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Automation or Manufacturing Engineering Technology , this could be an outstanding opportunity to get your foot in the door of a sophisticated manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing The organization purchases equipment from external machine builders, which typically arrives with complete technical documentation.

However, its Engineering team also designs, develops and builds specialized machinery internally.

That's where you come in.

You will be responsible for developing comprehensive technical manuals for this internally built equipment using established company templates and documentation standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Creating technical, operating and maintenance manuals for internally designed and built machinery
- Reviewing and interpreting electrical schematics and electrical drawings
- Reviewing and interpreting mechanical drawings, assemblies and equipment layouts
- Learning how newly developed machines operate and translating that knowledge into clear technical documentation
- Working directly with Engineers, Designers, Automation professionals, Maintenance personnel and other technical team members
- Documenting machine operating procedures and functionality
- Developing troubleshooting sections that help technical personnel diagnose equipment problems
- Incorporating electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and other engineering information into equipment manuals
- Documenting machine components, systems and technical specifications




- Creating clear maintenance and service instructions
- Updating documentation when equipment designs or processes are modified
- Ensuring manuals follow established company templates and documentation standards
- Organizing technical information so that operators and maintenance personnel can easily understand and use it

Who We're Looking For We're particularly interested in candidates who have a strong technical foundation but are still developing their careers.

You could be a recent graduate.

You could be an Engineering Technologist.

You could already be working in manufacturing and looking for your opportunity to move into an

Engineering department.

Previous experience with the exact title of "Technical Writer" is not necessarily required .

What matters is your ability to understand technical information and communicate it clearly.

An educational background in one of the following would be highly relevant:

- Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- Mechatronics
- Electromechanical Engineering Technology
- Automation or Robotics
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Similar engineering or technical disciplines

Schedule This is a day-shift, office-based Engineering position .

Monday to Thursday: 9-hour days

Friday: 4-hour day
