Bus Driver

St. Thomas More, Fairview, Alberta

St. Thomas More School, located in Fairview, Alberta, requires a Temporary, Part-time Bus Driver for the 2026-2027 school year starting September 1, 2026, up to and including October 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Holy Family Catholic Regional Division is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Bus Driver to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the secure operation of a school bus and the well-being of student passengers, ensuring every trip is conducted with care, professionalism, and respect.

Duties will include

- Safely operate a school bus in accordance with provincial and federal regulations, traffic laws, and divisional policies
- Pick up and drop off students on schedule, maintaining order and safety on board
- Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections and required documentation
- Report mechanical issues, route changes, and safety concerns promptly
- Maintain a clean bus interior/exterior as per cleaning procedures
- Communicate courteously and professionally with students, parents, and the public
- Document and report student behaviour concerns as needed




- Support students with diverse needs, including passengers using wheelchairs
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with privacy legislation

What You'll Need

- Valid Class 2 Driver's License
- Emergency First Aid certification
- "S" Endorsement (obtainable within 1 year of employment)
- Air Brakes "Q" certification
- WHMIS certification
- Knowledge of provincial and federal Commercial Vehicle regulations
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including maintenance checks and emergency procedures
- A patient, courteous, and safety-first approach when working with children and the public

Wage :
- Dependent on Qualifications and Experience.
