Therapy Assistant
Pay: $19–$22/hour
Position Type: Contract
Beyond Speech Therapy Services is looking for a Therapy Aide to join our growing team! We are a play-based, client-centric clinic. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, is highly organized, and is interested in gaining experience in a pediatric therapy setting.
At Beyond
Speech, Therapy aides support the overall therapy team in integrating therapy approaches over more frequent therapy sessions. They support families in generalizing the skills taught during therapy appointments and can be vital members of the therapeutic team.
As a Therapy Aide, you'll play an important role in supporting our therapists, preparing materials and activities, and helping create a positive experience for our clients and their families.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities.
- Assist therapists day-to-day with materials.
- Support client transitions and use therapy tools given by clinicians.
- Complete basic documentation, chart entry, and organizational tasks.
What We're Looking For
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A positive, reliable, and professional attitude.
- Comfortable working with children and families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience working with children is an asset.
- Students or graduates in Education, Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology, Rehabilitation, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
Requirements for the Position
- Police/Vulnerable Sectors Check
- Valid Drivers License
- Eligibility to work in Alberta, Canada
- 2 References
- Hybrid role: This position involves providing services in clients' homes, as well as completing preparation, documentation, and other related tasks in the clinic or at home, as needed.
