ABS Machining is a leading custom fabrication and manufacturing company specializing in manufacturing and production of large, complex welded assemblies ranging from 10,000 lbs to over 200,000 + lbs. Position Overview:

We are seeking highly skilled Tool Crib Attendant.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair welding machines and associated mechanical equipment.
- Maintain welding positioners, rotators, manipulators, wire-feeding equipment, fixtures, rollers, and related fabrication equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on welding and fabrication machinery .
- Identify equipment problems before they result in production interruptions.
- Replace and repair bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, couplings, shafts, gearboxes, rollers, pneumatic components, hydraulic components, and other mechanical parts.
- Maintain and repair material-handling equipment used within the fabrication area.
- Assist with installation, relocation, alignment, leveling,



and commissioning of new or modified equipment.
- Ensure machine guards, mechanical safety devices, and other protective equipment are properly installed and maintained.
- Conduct equipment inspections and document deficiencies.
- Complete emergency repairs when required to minimize production downtime.
- Determine the root cause of recurring mechanical failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of commonly required mechanical replacement parts and supplies.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment histories.
- Communicate equipment issues and repair requirements to supervisors
- Provide recommendations regarding equipment repairs, replacement parts, and improvements.
- Communicate effectively with welders, operators, supervisors, electricians, and other maintenance personnel.

Qualifications

- Recognized Millwright/Millwright-Mechanic qualification or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
- Ability to safely use common millwright tools and precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Liftruck experience
- Computer knowledge (email and excel)
