Responsibilities:
- Possess a good understanding and working knowledge of general machine shop equipment (grinders, mills, drills, tig welding) as well as progressive stamping dies (automotive tooling experience is preferred).
- Perform preventive maintenance on automotive stamping dies while also working with team members to suggest and implement continuous improvement measures based on available efficiency metrics.
-Must be able to manually machine parts to a print as well as from a sample part -Must be able to weld and rework punches and dies
- Must have a solid understanding of GD&T;
- Must be able to trouble shoot dies both in the press and on the shop floor.
- You will be a self starter and have the ability to work independently or as part of a agile team.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and equipment operation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Press Troubleshooting Experience in a production Environment
