Veterinary Assistant – Full-Time / Part-Time

Peach City Animal Hospital is seeking compassionate, reliable, energetic, and motivated Veterinary Assistants to join our team.

We are looking for individuals who genuinely care about animals, value teamwork, and thrive in a busy veterinary setting. The successful candidates will play an important role in patient care, client service, and supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians with daily hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely handle, restrain, and care for dogs and cats
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures
- Monitor hospitalized patients and promptly report changes in their condition
- Prepare and process blood, urine, and other laboratory samples
- Assist with diagnostic imaging, including radiographs (X-rays)
- Prepare examination rooms, treatment areas, surgical suites, and equipment
- Assist with patient admission, discharge, and client communication
- Provide medication and home-care instructions as directed by the veterinary team
- Maintain high standards of hospital cleanliness, organization, and infection control
- Restock supplies and ensure treatment areas are properly prepared
- Support reception and other team members when required

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous veterinary or animal-care experience is preferred




- Comfortable and confident handling dogs and cats
- Compassionate and attentive approach to patient care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Physically capable of safely lifting and assisting with animals or equipment weighing 25–30 kg (55–66 lbs) when required

Schedule

- Full-Time and Part-Time positions available
- 8-hour or 10-hour shifts
- Day, evening, and weekend availability required
