About Antica Productions
Antica Productions is an award-winning production company creating podcasts, video, television and digital content for broadcasters, platforms, organizations and brands. We work across original and branded productions, combining strong storytelling with digital strategy to create content people actually want to watch and listen to.
We’re looking for an experienced Video Podcast Producer to work with us on a contract, part-time basis on a digital-first, branded production.
About the Role
We’re looking for a producer who can take ownership of a project from brief through delivery.
You’ll work directly with clients, hosts, guests, editors and production teams to turn ideas and subject matter into compelling video podcasts and digital content. Depending on the project, that could mean developing episode ideas, researching topics and guests, shaping scripts and interview questions, producing hosts and guests, leading recordings, overseeing edits, managing client feedback and keeping the production moving.
Because much of our work is produced for organizations and brands, strong client-management skills are essential. You should be comfortable leading client conversations, presenting creative recommendations, navigating feedback and approvals, and balancing a client’s objectives with what will make genuinely engaging content for an audience.
This is a role for someone who combines strong editorial instincts, digital fluency and excellent production management — and who can confidently take responsibility for the projects they lead.
What You’ll Do
Editorial & Content Development
Develop episode ideas, formats,
angles and recurring segments
Research topics, stories and potential guests
Write and edit episode outlines, scripts, interview questions and host materials
Turn complex, technical or institutional subject matter into accessible and engaging content
Produce hosts and guests to get the strongest possible conversations and performances
Bring a strong editorial point of view to what will make an episode compelling, useful and worth watching
Video Podcast Production
Own assigned productions from pre-production through recording, post-production and delivery
Plan and lead studio and remote recordings
Coordinate hosts, guests, studios, crews and production logistics
Brief editors and other creative collaborators on the editorial vision for each piece
Review cuts and provide clear, actionable editorial feedback
Oversee the delivery of full episodes and supporting digital and social assets
Maintain a high standard of editorial, audio and visual quality across deliverables
Digital & Social Storytelling
Understand how long-form video should be packaged and adapted for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and other digital platforms
Identify strong hooks, moments and storylines for short-form cutdowns
Think critically about pacing, openings, titles, thumbnails and other elements that influence whether audiences choose to watch
Use audience insights and performance data to help improve future content
Stay current with digital formats, platform conventions and audience behaviour
Client & Project Management
Act as the day-to-day production lead for assigned projects
Build strong relationships with clients and communicate clearly throughout the production process
Lead client meetings, present creative recommendations and manage feedback
Understand client objectives and translate them into clear editorial and production decisions
Manage schedules, approvals, deliverables and production documentation
Anticipate issues, solve problems and keep projects moving without requiring constant oversight
Balance creative ambition with timelines, budgets and client expectations
What We’re Looking For
4+ years of experience producing podcasts, video, digital media, television or related content
Strong editorial judgment and storytelling instincts
Excellent research, writing and interview-preparation skills
Experience managing clients, stakeholders or external partners
Experience producing and directing hosts, interviewees and/or talent A strong understanding of YouTube and major social platforms
Experience working with editors and providing clear, actionable editorial feedback — hands-on editing skills are not required
- Experience working with subject-matter experts or translating complex topics for general audiences. You don’t need to be an expert in every subject our clients work in. You do need to know how to find the story!
*Most importantly, you take ownership. When you’re producing a project, you understand what needs to happen next and make sure it happens.
