About BuddiqoBuddiqo Foundation Inc. is a Canadian nonprofit organization focused on mental wellness, peer support, and community well-being. Buddiqo provides a safe and accessible platform where individuals can connect anonymously, share their experiences, and reflect on their emotional well-being.

Our mobile application is currently available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and we are now focused on expanding our community, developing partnerships, and building sustainable funding to support Buddiqo's long-term growth.

The OpportunityWe are looking for a Volunteer Grants & Fundraising Coordinator to help Buddiqo identify and pursue funding opportunities that can support our programs, technology, community initiatives, and future expansion.

This is an opportunity to work directly with the founder and gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant development, research, and partnership development.

You will play an important role in helping Buddiqo build a sustainable funding pipeline while contributing to a nonprofit mission focused on mental wellness and community support.

Responsibilities

Grant Research & Development

- Research Canadian federal, provincial, municipal, foundation, and community grant opportunities.
- Identify grants that align with Buddiqo's mission, programs, technology, and target communities.
- Monitor grant portals, funding announcements, and application deadlines.
- Maintain an organized database of potential funding opportunities.
- Review eligibility requirements and determine which opportunities are a strong fit.
- Assist with preparing grant applications, letters of intent, proposals, and supporting documentation.
- Help track submitted applications, deadlines, follow-ups, and outcomes.
- Assist with grant reporting and documentation for successful applications.





Fundraising & Donations
- Research foundations, corporations, community organizations, and potential donors that support mental wellness, youth, technology, social impact, and nonprofit initiatives.
- Help develop fundraising opportunities and campaigns.
- Assist in preparing sponsorship and donor proposals.
- Identify potential corporate sponsorship opportunities.
- Help develop relationships with potential funders and supporters.
- Maintain a pipeline of potential donors, sponsors, and funding partners.

Partnership Development
- Research universities, nonprofits, community organizations, and other potential partners.
- Identify organizations that may benefit from or support Buddiqo.
- Assist with initial outreach and partnership communications.
- Help coordinate introductory meetings and follow-ups.
- Maintain partnership and fundraising records.

Strategy & Reporting
- Help maintain a grants and fundraising calendar.
- Track funding applications, amounts requested, amounts received, and application status.
- Research trends and emerging funding opportunities relevant to Buddiqo.
- Provide regular updates on the fundraising pipeline.
- Help identify opportunities for long-term funding and sustainability.

QualificationsWe are looking for someone who is:

- Organized and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently.




- Comfortable researching government and foundation funding opportunities.
- Able to write clearly and professionally.
- Proactive and willing to take initiative.
- Passionate about contributing to a mission-driven organization.

Preferred QualificationsThe following would be an asset:
- Previous grant-writing or fundraising experience.
- Experience working with nonprofits or community organizations.
- Knowledge of Canadian government and foundation funding programs.
- Experience with corporate sponsorships or donor development.
- Experience preparing grant proposals or funding applications.
- Experience using CRM or project-management tools.
