What You’ll Do The VP, Project Management is responsible for leading Moose Power's Engineering & Design team and overseeing the coordination and execution of renewable energy projects from conception through completion. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, this role provides leadership across project scheduling, engineering and design coordination, regulatory requirements, procurement, inventory management, and stakeholder communication. The VP, Project Management will lead a small team of 2–3 direct reports while helping ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of renewable energy projects
- Develop and oversee detailed project schedules, including key milestones across procurement, engineering, design, and construction.
- Monitor project progress and coordinate activities to support timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Identify and address project coordination issues that may affect schedules, deliverables, or project execution.
- Oversee effective project handoffs between the Engineering & Design and Construction teams.

Engineering, Design & Regulatory Coordination

- Lead and coordinate the work of the Engineering & Design team.
- Coordinate with independent engineering firms on IFR/IFC drawing packages.
- Engage with Local Distribution Companies (LDCs) throughout project development and commissioning.




- Coordinate with structural engineering firms on structural reviews and building permit applications.
- Oversee ESA Plan Reviews and support applicable project approval processes.

Procurement & Inventory

- Manage procurement activities, including vendor outreach, quote requests, evaluations, and negotiations.
- Oversee material requirements and allocation across active projects.
- Monitor inventory and material movement to help ensure construction teams have the resources required for project execution.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

- Lead, support, and provide direction to a team of 2–3 direct reports.
- Maintain ongoing communication with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate across Engineering & Design, Construction, procurement, utility partners, external consultants, and other stakeholders to maintain alignment on project requirements and deliverables.
- Support effective collaboration and communication across project teams.
- Work closely with senior leadership to support project execution and organizational priorities.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, including demonstrated experience leading complex projects.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the solar industry.




- Degree or diploma in Project Management or a related field and/or equivalent relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, PVsyst, and other solar PV design and modelling software.
- Experience coordinating engineering, design, procurement, construction, utilities, and external project partners.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to lead and develop a small team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and project execution.
- Demonstrated interest in clean energy and sustainability.
