Role Description The Window and Door Assembly Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Markham, ON. This position is responsible for assembling window and door units according to production specifications, using hand and power tools to fit, align, and secure components. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting work orders and drawings, measuring and cutting materials, installing hardware, glazing, and seals, and inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy.

The operator will organize materials at the workstation, follow safety procedures, report defects or equipment issues, and collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.



The role also involves maintaining a clean and orderly work area and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

- Experience in assembly or manufacturing environments, ideally with windows, doors, or related building products.
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings, work orders, and measurements using standard tools such as tape measures, squares, and levels.
- Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, drilling, fastening, and finishing components.
- Strong attention to detail and quality, with the ability to inspect products, identify defects, and follow standardized processes.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity, including the ability to lift, move, and position materials and products as required for the role.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to safety procedures, use of personal protective equipment, and reporting of hazards.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a production environment and follow direction from supervisors.
- Reliability and punctuality, with a consistent record of attendance and the ability to work full-time shifts as scheduled.
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in aluminum fabrication or glass handling is an asset.
