Position
We are currently hiring an intern looking for a winter term position, January to April 2027 in our Winnipeg Office. Candidates in an undergraduate program that will return to school after their internship are eligible to apply.
This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be eligible to work full-time for the entire duration of the program.
The Corporate Compensation Pod is a highly collaborative group with experience in and passion for delivering innovative solutions for employees using the latest technology and insights.
The Corporate
Compensation team delivers solutions for IG and Mackenzie employees who are eligible for Specialized Incentive Compensation.
As an Analyst Intern, you will work with the members of our teams and will have an chance to contribute to the delivery of technology solutions for our business partners.
Responsibilities
- Assist with business analysis activities, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution documentation.
- Support quality assurance activities, including test case creation, test execution, and defect tracking.
- Analyze and interpret data to support operational processes, troubleshooting, and decision making.
- Leverage AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini) to improve productivity, documentation, analysis, and operational processes.
- Support configuration and administration activities within Corporate Compensation applications and related technology platforms.
- Participate in solution development, testing, implementation, release management, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a business, technology, computer science, data analytics, or related post-secondary program.
- Demonstrated interest in technology, business analysis, data analytics, and AI-enabled ways of working.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, or other AI tools is considered an asset.
- Exposure to SQL, Python, Power BI, Git, or data analysis tools is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and identify solutions.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Positive attitude, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration and project management tools is considered an asset.

The expected annual base salary range (prorated for the term) for this role is $44,000 to $47,000, which is determined based on year of study, IGM program, geographic location and candidate’s skills, knowledge and experience.
