Position: Youth Soccer Coach - Development / Competitive Program (Part-Time)
Locations: Roncesvalles (Fern Public School / Howard Public School) and Liberty Village (Lamport Stadium)
Compensation: $17.60-$25/hr (based on experience & certifications)
Reporting To: Technical Director
Background
Umoja Soccer School is growing-and we’re looking for committed, energetic, committed Soccer Coaches to help kids ages 3-15 learn, grow and love the game. If you love working with kids and believe in soccer as a tool for confidence, community and joy, we'd love to hear from you.
Seasonal Schedule:
Outdoor Season (May - October) - Fern Public School / Howard Public School
- Mon / Tues / Wed / Thur 5:30-8pm and Sat or Sun 9:30 am-12pm
Indoor Season (October - April) - Fern Public School / Lamport Stadium
- Mon / Tues / Wed / Thur 4:45-8pm and Sat or Sun 9:30 am-12pm
What You’ll Do
- Lead engaging, age-appropriate soccer sessions for kids 3-15
- Follow training plans and fun activities designed by our Technical Director
- Set up and take down field equipment (cones, nets, balls, etc.)
- Create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for players and families
- Communicate clearly with children, parents, and fellow coaches
- Be reliable and consistent throughout the season
Requirements for the Recreation Program
- Passion for working with young children (experience with ages 2-6 is a plus)
- Dependable, punctual and professional
- Solid communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable setting up soccer fields and equipment
- Willing to follow Umoja’s coaching philosophy and curriculum
Nice-to-Haves
- Previous youth soccer coaching experience
- Soccer playing background (club or competitive)
- Coaching certifications (Active Start, Fundamentals, Learn to Train)
- First Aid / CPR certification

- Previous youth soccer coaching experience
