Cardiac Rehabilitation Program Nurse – Peace Arch HospitalJoin to apply for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program Nurse role at Fraser Health Authority.SalaryCAD $41.42 - $59.52 per hourJob SummaryWe are currently hiring for a Casual Cardiac Rehabilitation Program Nurse to join our Primary Health Care team at Peace Arch Hospital located in White Rock, B.C.BenefitsFour weeks of vacation to startComprehensive 100% employer paid benefitsImmediate enrollment in a defined municipal pension plan87% maternity top-up50% subsidy on Translink passesResponsibilitiesConduct nursing assessments and evaluate patient’s functional status and risk factors, develop a care plan, and collaborate with the health care team.Provide nursing supervision during exercise sessions, offering psychosocial support and monitoring patients for abnormalities.Provide direct nursing care by checking vital signs, applying telemetry, interpreting rhythms, and modifying care plans as needed.Lead response to complications during exercise by initiating emergency care, calling 911, and documenting incidents.Teach patients and families about illness prevention, health maintenance, and health promotion strategies.Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, participating in conferences and meetings.Maintain patient records, documenting patient information, observations, interventions, and teaching outcomes.Identify learning needs, review them with the Manager, and engage in activities to meet these needs.Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities, generating recommendations and conducting safety audits.Act as a clinical resource/support person, explaining nursing decisions and participating in orientation and continuing education.Provide input to the Manager regarding policies, procedures, and operational requirements.Operate, maintain, and clean related equipment,



referring repairs as necessary.Perform other related duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceGraduation from an approved school of Nursing.
